However, there are people who face it every day in their work and who have found ways to relate to it.&#8221; This is the premise that led Miguel Eek and his film crew to live with burials, undertakers, gardeners, sales agents, guards and the women cleaning the cemetery and funeral home of Palma.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mosaicprod.com\/en\/projects\/city-of-the-dead\/\"><em>City of the Dead<\/em><\/a> is a documentary about death interpreted by the living. Biel, the cemetery guard, works in the cemetery and the funeral home in Palma; Jos\u00e9, the sales agent dealing with families; David and Sergio, the undertakers; Jaume and Mohammed, gardeners, Jos\u00e9 Luis, from the crematorium and Manuela, who works in cleaning. Through their relationships, sometimes dramatic others comic, we discover the unknown world of death. Also most specially, the personal stories of its inhabitants.<\/p>\n<p>The world premiere will take place at <strong>FIPADOC<\/strong> next Thursday, <strong>January 24<sup>th<\/sup> at 12 o&#8217;clock at the Bellevue Auditorium<\/strong> in front of the jury and followed by a Q &amp; A with all attendees. <strong>Saturday 26<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong> there will be a second screening at <strong>Le Colis\u00e9e at 4:00 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The documentary is a production of Mosaic Producciones in co-production with IB3, the\u00a0television of the Balearic Islands, with the support of the City Council of Palma, the Consell de Mallorca and Institut d\u2019Estudis Balearics.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mosaicprod.com\/en\/projects\/city-of-the-dead\/\"><em>City of the Dead<\/em><\/a> will continue touring other national and international festivals.\u00a0So far it has been selected in Holland and Greece where the film will premiere soon.<\/p>\n<p>More info on the official website of the film:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ciutatdelsmorts.mosaicprod.com\">http:\/\/ciutatdelsmorts.mosaicprod.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The documentary City of the Dead, by director Miguel Eek premieres worldwide at the FIPADOC festival, Biarritz (France) on the 24th of January, 2019 at 12 o\u2019clock at the Bellevue Auditorium.
